Based on ancient knowledge, Wayapa Wuurrk is a mindfulness practice that places the Earth as the point of focus and recognises for us to be well, our planet must be too.
As the first ever officially certified Indigenous Wellness Modality, Wayapa invites us to see ourselves and our place as Earth People differently, opening the door to new levels of perception through a narrative movement practice.
Wayapa was cognised by Jamie Thomas & Sara Jones in 2014 and looks at 14 elements from a First Nation perspective, inviting us to recognise them all within ourselves. Its purpose and power can be understood in this quote from Jaime:
“I believe that we are all Earth people, some are just more disconnected than others. As a descendant of the Original Custodians, it is my responsibility to share my connection to the Earth as my Ancestors did and teach others how to respect and care for her, to heal her and let her heal us.
So that is why I created Wayapa.”
A truly unique offering with less than 100 qualified practitioners in the world, this can be delivered in myriad of ways and over either a single workshop or multiple weeks.
